Of all the pieces of news Zachriel could have received right now, hearing of Rami's illness was not the one she had wanted to hear. Of course she wanted to know, but upon seeing the message, her thoughts had immediately jumped to how she was going to tell Ari'el. With Ava gone and his strength sapped by healing and helping here, it was going to be some of the toughest news she'd ever had to deliver. And she had no way to lessen the blow, no way to soothe him. While she knew that they were supposed to be waiting for news of the rescue effort to find Lizzie Turner, he had to know now -- she doubt he would forgive her if she kept it from him.
